Vintage Sterling Silver Cheese Slicer This gorgeous vintage item has a sterling silver handle and is used for slicing soft cheeses like raclette and roquefort, etc. You don't saw away at the cheese with this utensil but simply slice across the top surface letting the two pins be a guide as to the thickness of your slice, as the wire does the actual cutting. A must for every elegant party where soft cheese is served! In Perfect Condition Marked: Web Sterling Handle I believe the pattern is Ancestry, which was made in 1940, making this item 70 years old. Measures approx 8.5" long x 3.25" @ widest Payments by PayPal, please. You'll need an established PayPal account. Please try to pay as soon as you possibly can upon close of auction. I don't usually have loads of extra money around. Thanks for understanding. WILL GLADLY COMBINE ITEMS TO REDUCE YOUR SHIPPING COSTS (Provided items seem safe to combine) • You may combine items for up to 5 (five) days • Finish Shopping ~ Make One Payment • Full price on highest shipping cost…all subsequent reduced by 40% • Shipping Discounts calculate automatically…no need for a new invoice to reflect discount. If there seems to be an error in calculation though, or just for questions, feel free to contact me. Use eBay contact link. • I generally ship immediately...as soon as payments clear, but I give myself two days to cover the unexpected. If ever you need something right away, let me know. I’m pretty flexible and will always do what I can to help • Since I charge a Flat Rate Shipping Fee, I must pick the dollar amount when listing my items. Challenge is, I don’t know where my eventual buyer lives, and a dollar amount suitable to everyone across the entire United States does not exist. In fairness to all, I try to pick an amount somewhere mid range. I live on the East Coast and if my buyer is on the West Coast, I generally lose money on shipping. On the other hand, if a buyer lives close to me, it might turn out that I overcharge them. It is to those buyers that I write this message. I want you to know that I do not intentionally overcharge shipping fees but I would like to ask for your understanding in that you are helping to even things out, so to speak. However, if you would like me to refund any difference in shipping that you may overpay, I absolutely understand and I am happy to do so. Please just let me know. Thank you. Regarding the Antique/Vintage Items I Sell: I do not claim expertise in the antiques field. I’ve had a genuine appreciation of antiques since a young age but I have not had the pleasure of any formal training. Either I’ve taught myself the things I know, or I’ve learned by asking lots of questions of the real experts, whom I’ve found on Ebay and on various other websites. I’ve also developed friendships with some local shop owners, to whom I can also go with my questions. My knowledge does increase steadily however; as I thoroughly enjoy investigating the items I sell. I still have much to learn, though. With that in mind, please make your purchase decisions using your own good judgment and familiarity with the items you like. What I can offer you though, in my listings, is honest information, integrity from your seller, and a fair amount of decent pictures to guide you in your decision. I’m always open to questions and you have the option to return any item if you are not completely satisfied. Thank You.
