INDIAN Artisan-Made, SILVER Picture/Photo FRAME
Please Note:

I will be selling the SMALL PAIR of FRAMES in another auction
This Vintage set of (3) Frames comes from my Private Collection
They were purchased in the early 1980s in Dubai (From an Antique Dealer)
No words can really describe the beauty work that went into
this wonderfully Hand-Crafted "Eastern/Indian Art" Silver piece
I would guess Far East... India?
This Lovely frame may be crafted from 700-750 silver grade or Coin Silver
I can't seem to find any hallmarks anywhere
It features wonderfully hammered carvings...
Intricately Chased with lovely Repousse Leaf, Flower, Garlands and Scrolled Decorations
Mounted on a Wood back
(The silver wraps around the edges of the wood)
Features a shaped Easel form can stand Portrait ONLY
The frame is in VERY GOOD Shiny CONDITION given its age
It was only displayed in a case
However, some imperfections are noticeable on the wood and the silver
(probably common to artisan silver work)
As well as some minor dings, dents, scratch lines rubs due to age or normal wear
Measures
Frame: 4 1/2" Large x 6 5/8" High
Oval Picture area: 2 3/8" Large x 3 7/8" High
